Join a meeting
You will receive reminders when a meeting is about to start. You'll also get an email notification when your guide starts the meeting, and you may join by clicking on the "Join meeting" button.
You may also access it under the "Meetings" page of your course.
When you join the meeting, you'll be asked to allow access to your microphone (so that you can ask questions if you'd like to at any point).
You'll see a screen like this — please click 'allow' so you can listen to and participate in your upcoming meeting. This is required for video conference meetings, and you won't be able to access the meeting without allowing your microphone access. Your microphone will be muted automatically and your voice won't be transmitted unless you unmute yourself.
You may reset your preferences if you clicked on the "block" button by mistake.
Here are a few other tips for watching a video conference hosted on Ruzuku:
- Use the most recent version of Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox as your web browser.
- Before the session starts, close down other websites or applications that could slow down your computer or application.
- Make sure you're in a place with a stable internet connection (and wireless signal, if you're using Wi-Fi).
If you have trouble with the audio/video syncing during a session, try reloading the page in your browser. It will reconnect to the stream automatically.
Finally, if your instructor is recording the session, you should be able to watch the replay of the session in your course under "Meetings."
