Add analytics tracking to your Pro site
In this article: How to connect Google Analytics or Meta Pixel to your Pro site so you can track visitor behavior, measure conversions, and understand how students find your courses. Pro
Why add tracking
If you're running ads, sharing your site on social media, or just want to understand where your students come from, analytics tracking gives you the data. With tracking in place, you can see:
- How many people visit your sales pages and storefront
- Where your traffic comes from (search, social, email, ads)
- Which pages students view most
- Whether your ad campaigns are driving enrollments
Ruzuku Pro supports two tracking platforms: Google Analytics and Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel). You can use one or both.
Add Google Analytics
Google Analytics tracks page views, traffic sources, and user behavior across your site. You'll need a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property and its Measurement ID.
To get your Measurement ID:
- Go to analytics.google.com and sign in.
- If you don't have a property yet, create one for your Pro site.
- Go to Admin (gear icon) > Data Streams > select your web stream.
- Copy the Measurement ID. It looks like
G-A01F00X23.
To add it to your Pro site:
- Log in to your Pro site as an Admin.
- Click your profile photo or initials in the top-right corner and select Manage Site.
- Click Settings.
- Find the Google Measurement ID field.
- Paste your Measurement ID.
- Click Save.
Tracking starts immediately. Google Analytics will begin recording page views across your entire site — storefront, sales pages, course pages, and login page.
Add Meta Pixel
Meta Pixel tracks visitors from Facebook and Instagram ads. It helps you measure ad performance, build retargeting audiences, and optimize your campaigns for conversions.
To get your Pixel ID:
- Go to Meta Business Suite > Events Manager.
- Select your Pixel (or create one if you haven't yet).
- Copy the Pixel ID. It's a string of numbers.
To add it to your Pro site:
- Log in to your Pro site as an Admin.
- Go to Manage Site > Settings.
- Find the Meta Pixel ID field.
- Paste your Pixel ID.
- Click Save.
The pixel fires a PageView event on every page load across your site. If you're running Facebook or Instagram ad campaigns, this data feeds into your ad reporting automatically.
What gets tracked
Both Google Analytics and Meta Pixel track page views site-wide. Every page a visitor loads — your storefront, individual sales pages, course content pages, and login screen — sends a tracking event.
Tracking applies to your entire Pro site. You don't need to configure it per course.
Privacy considerations
Adding tracking pixels means visitor data is sent to Google and/or Meta. A few things to keep in mind:
- Cookie consent. If you serve students in the EU or other regions with privacy regulations (GDPR, etc.), you may need a cookie consent banner on your site. Ruzuku doesn't include one by default — check with a legal advisor if you're unsure about your obligations.
- Privacy policy. If you use tracking, mention it in your privacy policy. Let students know what data is collected and by whom.
- Student data. Tracking pixels see page views and browser data. They don't have access to student names, emails, or course content within Ruzuku.
