Understanding Email Settings on Your Pro Site
When you signed up for Ruzuku, you created an account with an email address on courses.ruzuku.com (also known as "Ruzuku Core"). When your Pro site was set up, a separate profile was created for you on your custom domain. Both profiles are linked to the same account, but each one maintains its own email address independently.
This means that if you update your email on your Pro site, it will not automatically update on Ruzuku Core — and vice versa.
Why are the emails separate?
Your Ruzuku Core account and your Pro site serve different purposes:
- Ruzuku Core (courses.ruzuku.com) is where your billing, subscription, and invoices are managed. The email on your Core account is the one used for billing-related communications, including receipts and renewal notices.
- Your Pro site (your custom domain) is where you manage your courses, students, and content. You may prefer to use a branded or team email address here.
Because these serve different purposes, email changes on one site are not automatically synced to the other. This gives you the flexibility to use different email addresses for billing and for your day-to-day course management — for example, using a personal email for billing and a branded business email on your Pro site.
What you need to know
- Billing and invoices are always tied to the email on your Ruzuku Core account (courses.ruzuku.com), not the email on your Pro site.
- If you change your email on your Pro site, your billing email stays the same unless you also update it on Ruzuku Core.
- If someone else originally set up your Ruzuku account (for example, a former team member), the billing email may still reflect their information even if your Pro site email has been updated.
How to update your email
To update your email on your Pro site:
- Log in to your Pro site (your custom domain)
- Go to your account settings
- Update your email address and save
To update your billing email on Ruzuku Core:
- Go to courses.ruzuku.com and log in using the email currently associated with your Core account (this may be different from your Pro site email)
- Go to your account settings
- Update your email address and save
Important: You must log in to Ruzuku Core using the email that is currently on file there — not the email you use on your Pro site. If you're unsure which email is associated with your Core account, contact our support team and we'll help you out.
