Why add audio to your lessons
Audio works well for guided meditations, podcast-style lessons, language practice, music instruction, or any content where students can listen without needing to watch a screen. When you upload audio to Ruzuku, we host it and automatically convert it into a web- and mobile-optimized format so students can listen on any device.
Upload an audio file
- Open your course and go to Manage Course (keyboard shortcut: Cmd+K on Mac, Ctrl+K on Windows).
- Click Modules & Lessons in the Content column.
- Click the lesson where you want to add audio (or click Add Lesson to create a new one).
- In the lesson editor, click Add media, then select Video or audio file.
- Choose how to add your audio:
- Choose file to select an audio file from your computer (drag and drop works too).
- Record Audio to record directly in your browser using your microphone.
- If you chose a file, select it from your computer and wait for the upload to finish.
- You'll know the upload is complete when you see a checkmark and "saved" in the upper right corner of the editor.
What your students see
Students see an audio player embedded in the lesson. They can play, pause, scrub through, and adjust volume. The player works on desktop and mobile browsers.
If you want students to be able to download the audio file for offline listening, you can enable that separately. See Enable files for download.
