Download resources from your course

In this article: How to find and download files, worksheets, templates, and other resources from your course.

All Plans

Where to find downloadable resources

Your instructor may include downloadable files in your course: PDFs, worksheets, templates, audio files, images, or other documents. These files appear directly on the lesson pages where they're relevant.

To find them, open the lesson that contains the resources. Scroll through the lesson content. Downloadable files are listed by name, and you can spot them by their file name and download link.

How to download a file

  1. Open the lesson that contains the resource you want.
  2. Find the file in the lesson content.
  3. Click the file name or the download link next to it.
  4. The file will download to your computer or device. Check your Downloads folder if you don't see it right away.

That's it. Most downloads take just a few seconds.

Tip: On a phone or tablet, downloaded files usually go to your Files app (iPhone/iPad) or Downloads folder (Android). If you can't find the file, try searching your device for the file name.

If you're an instructor downloading your own resources

If you created the course and want to download files you've uploaded, you'll need to switch to the Student View of your course first. The instructor/editor view doesn't show the download links the same way students see them.

  1. Open your course.
  2. Switch to Student View (look for this option near the top of the page).
  3. Navigate to the lesson with the file.
  4. Click the file name to download it.

Troubleshooting downloads

The file won't download:

  • Check your internet connection and try again.
  • Try a different browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge all work with Ruzuku).
  • If your browser is blocking the download, look for a notification bar at the top or bottom of the window asking for permission.

The file downloaded but won't open:

  • Make sure you have the right app for the file type. PDFs open in most browsers and in apps like Adobe Reader or Preview. Spreadsheets need Excel, Google Sheets, or a similar app.
  • If the file seems corrupted, try downloading it again.

You can't find the download on your device:

  • Check your browser's Downloads folder. On most browsers, press Ctrl+J (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+J (Mac) to see recent downloads.
  • On mobile, check your Files app or Downloads folder.

If nothing works, email support@ruzuku.com with the course name and which file you're trying to download. The team can help.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I download all files at once?
Files are downloaded one at a time from each lesson. There isn't a "download all" button. Go to each lesson that has files and download them individually.
Do downloaded files expire?
Once you download a file, it's saved on your device and won't expire. You can keep it as long as you want. If you lose the file, you can always go back to the lesson and download it again (as long as you still have access to the course).
Can I download course videos?
Videos embedded in lessons are streamed, not downloaded. Whether you can download a video depends on how your instructor set things up. If they've included a downloadable video file, it will appear as a file link in the lesson. If the video is only embedded (streaming), you'll need to watch it within the course.
