Rename, copy, archive, or delete a course
Use these features to update your course, change the status, and replicate the content anytime!
These 4 features can be accessed in the "Manage Course" menu under "Actions" — Not sure where to find the "Manage Course" menu? Follow the first steps listed here.
Rename Your Course
You can rename your course at any time (even after students have enrolled).
When you select the "Rename course" option, a pop-up like this will appear:
Once you've updated the course name, click "Save title" and that's it!
Copy Your Course
Copying your course is a great way to save you time! It can help you get started on your next course without starting from scratch or replicating something you've already created (including your sales page!)
When you select the "Copy course" option, a pop-up like this will appear:
You can rename the copy of the course or you can leave the name as is and rename it later (see those instructions in the section above).
Important: If you want your sales page, price points, and/or coupons copied over as well, be sure to click to toggle this option on before you click the "Copy course" button!
Once you click "Copy course", you will automatically be redirected to the new copied course and you can update from there!
Archive Your Course
Archiving your course is a great option if you have courses (or copies of courses) you want to hang onto but you don't want them to clutter up your My Courses page.
Note: Students enrolled in your archived course(s) will not be affected and if you have the course open for signups, it will not impact that status in any way. It's purely an organizational feature.
When you select the "Archive course" option, this note will appear on the top right-hand side of your screen
You can locate all of your archived courses on your My Courses page, under the "Archived" tab
You can always unarchive any course by going to the Manage Course menu (by clicking the gear icon within your list of archived courses or going inside the course and then clicking the Manage Course menu)
And selecting "Unarchive"
Delete Your Course
Important:
- Once you delete a course, there is no way to recover it. If you choose to delete a course, we recommend making a copy of it first (see instructions above) so that your content is not lost.
- All of your student information, however, will not be saved (that includes discussions, assessment submissions, payment information, progress, etc.) and all students will be removed from the course (note that this information is not saved when you copy the course).
- You can also archive the course (instructions above) to remove it from your My Courses page, close signups to prevent new students from enrolling, and you can even remove existing students from your course, and you will still be able to keep all of your student information.
When you select the "Delete course" option, a pop-up like this will appear:
You will need to type out "DELETE" (in all caps) for the "Delete course" button to activate. Once you press that button, poof! Your course will be deleted.
If you're not sure if you should delete your course (or if you have questions about anything else on this page), feel free to reach out to us first: support@ruzuku.com
