How to search
- Click the magnifying glass icon in the upper-right corner of your course screen.
- A search window will open. Type the word or phrase you are looking for.
- Results appear below your search as you type. You can search for lesson titles, discussion topics, file names, or even a person's name.
Filtering results
If your search returns many results, use the filter tabs (such as Discussions, Lessons, or People) to narrow down the list to a specific type of content.
Click any result to go directly to that spot in the course.

Does search look through discussion posts?
Yes. Search scans lesson content, discussion posts, file names, and participant names. Use the filter tabs to narrow results to just discussions if needed.
I do not see a search icon in my course. Why?
Not all courses have search enabled. If you do not see the magnifying glass icon, your instructor may not have turned on this feature. Try browsing through the module list instead, or contact your instructor for help finding what you need.
