Copy a module
In this article: How to duplicate a module within the same course or copy it to a different course, bringing all its lessons and content along.
All Plans
Copying a module saves you from rebuilding content you've already created. You might copy a module within the same course to use it as a starting point for a new section, or copy it to a different course entirely to reuse your best material across programs.
When you copy a module, all the lessons inside it come along automatically. The original module stays exactly as it is.
Copy a module to the same course
- Open your course and go to Manage Course → Modules & Lessons.
- Click the module title (shown in blue) to open the module settings.
- Click Copy module.
- In the course list that appears, select Current (it's at the top of the list).
- (Optional) Edit the module title if you want to rename the copy.
- Wait for the "Copy complete" message. You can click View copied module to jump to it, or close the dialog and keep working.

The copied module appears at the bottom of your course outline. Drag it to the position you want.
Copy a module to a different course
- Open the course that contains the module you want to copy.
- Go to Manage Course → Modules & Lessons.
- Click the module title (shown in blue) to open the module settings.
- Click Copy module.
- In the course list, search for or scroll to the destination course and select it.
- Wait for the "Copy complete" message.

After copying, you can open the destination course to find the module at the bottom of its outline. From there, rearrange and edit the copy as needed.
What gets copied
When you copy a module, Ruzuku duplicates:
- The module title and settings
- All lessons inside the module
- Lesson content (text, videos, audio, files, embedded content)
- Discussion prompts attached to lessons
- Assessment/assignment configurations
The copy is independent of the original. Changes you make to one won't affect the other.
