Start here: Learn the basics

In this article: A quick tour of how your Ruzuku course works, where to find everything, and how to get help if you need it.

All Plans

Welcome to your course on Ruzuku. This guide walks you through the basics so you can jump in with confidence.

Your instructor built this course to help you learn something specific. Ruzuku is just the place where the course lives — think of it like a classroom, but online.

How courses are organized

Every Ruzuku course is organized into modules and lessons.

  • Modules are the big sections of your course. They group related lessons together. You might see them labeled as "Week 1," "Unit 1," or something specific to your course topic.
  • Lessons are the individual pages inside each module. A lesson might include text, a video, downloadable files, a discussion area, or an assignment.

You work through lessons one at a time, at your own pace (unless your instructor has set a specific schedule).

How to find your course

  1. Go to courses.ruzuku.com and log in with the email address you used when you enrolled.
  2. You will see a list of all courses you are enrolled in. Click on the course you want to open.

If you enrolled on your instructor's website, you should have received a welcome email with a direct link to your course. Check your inbox (and your spam folder) for an email from your instructor or from Ruzuku.

Tip: Bookmark your course page so you can get back to it quickly. You can also add it to your phone's home screen for easy access.

Getting around inside your course

Once you open your course, here is what you will see:

  • Module list — a sidebar (or top menu on mobile) showing all the modules in your course. Click any module to see its lessons.
  • Lesson content — the main area of the page. This is where you read text, watch videos, download files, and complete activities.
  • Discussions — some lessons have a discussion section below the content where you can post comments and questions. Other courses have a separate Discussions page for course-wide conversations.
  • Meetings — if your instructor runs live sessions, you will find them on the Meetings page. More on this in Joining a Live Session.

Watching videos and downloading files

If your lesson includes a video, it will appear right on the lesson page. Click the play button to start watching. You can pause, rewind, and adjust the volume using the player controls.

If your instructor has included downloadable files (PDFs, worksheets, templates), you will see them listed in the lesson. Click the file name to download it to your device.

Marking lessons complete

At the bottom of each lesson, you will see a Mark as Complete button. Click it when you finish a lesson. This helps you track your progress through the course and lets your instructor see how you are doing.

You can always come back to a completed lesson to review the material.

Getting help

If you have a question about your course content (the material, assignments, or schedule), contact your instructor directly. They are the best person to help with anything related to what you are learning. Many courses include a discussion area where you can ask questions, or your instructor may share their email.

If you have a technical issue (trouble logging in, video not playing, something not working on the page), the Ruzuku support team can help. Email support@ruzuku.com and include what happened, what device and browser you are using, and a screenshot if possible. The team typically responds within a few hours on weekdays.

For more details, see Getting Technical Support.

I enrolled but I can't find my course. What do I do?
Go to courses.ruzuku.com and log in with the email address you used when you enrolled. If you don't see your course, check that you are using the correct email. If you enrolled with a different email than the one on your Ruzuku account, your course may be under a separate account. Contact your instructor or email support@ruzuku.com for help.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Ruzuku runs entirely in your web browser. Use a recent version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge on any computer, tablet, or phone. No app download required.
Can I go through lessons in any order?
It depends on how your instructor set up the course. Some courses let you jump to any lesson. Others release content on a schedule, so lessons appear as they become available. Your instructor will let you know.
