Course dashboard overview
In this article: What each section of your course dashboard shows you, and how to use it as your daily command center for tracking enrollment, revenue, student progress, and recent activity. All Plans
Your Course at a Glance
The course dashboard is the first thing you see when you open a course. It gives you a snapshot of everything happening right now: how many students have enrolled, how much revenue you've earned, who signed up recently, and what needs your attention.
Think of it as your daily check-in spot. During a live cohort launch, you might check it several times a day. For an evergreen course, a weekly glance keeps you in the loop.
Open the Course Dashboard
- Click Courses in the left sidebar.
- Click the course you want to check.
You land on the course dashboard. You can also get here from anywhere inside a course by opening the Manage Course menu (Cmd+K on Mac, Ctrl+K on Windows) and clicking Course Dashboard in the Content column.
What You'll See
The dashboard is organized into clear sections. Here's what each one tells you.
Enrollment Count
The total number of students currently enrolled in your course. This updates as new students sign up or as you add students manually through invitations.
Revenue
The total revenue earned from this course through Ruzuku's payment system (Stripe or PayPal). This reflects completed payments only. If a student is on a payment plan, you'll see each payment as it processes.
Student Progress
A visual overview of how far students have gotten through your course. This helps you spot patterns. If most students complete the first two modules but drop off at module three, that's a signal to revisit that section's content or pacing.
Recent Activity
A feed of what's happening in your course: new enrollments, lesson completions, discussion comments, and assignment submissions. This is the fastest way to see who's active and what's waiting for your response.
Quick Links
The dashboard includes shortcuts to common tasks:
- Modules & Lessons — jump straight to your course outline to add or edit content
- Launch Checklist — open the step-by-step checklist to prepare your course for enrollment (especially useful before your first launch)
Using the Dashboard Day to Day
Here are a few ways to get the most out of your dashboard:
Before a launch: Check that your enrollment count is zero and your sales page is linked. Open the launch checklist to confirm every step is done.
During a live cohort: Check the dashboard daily. Look at recent activity to see who's participating. If you notice students falling behind, send an encouraging message through Manage Course → Messages or reach out directly through chat.
For an evergreen course: Check weekly. Watch enrollment trends over time. If signups slow down, it might be time to update your sales page or run a promotion with a coupon.
After getting questions from students: If several students ask the same question, that's a sign your content could be clearer. Check the dashboard's recent activity to spot recurring confusion, then update the relevant lesson.
What Students Don't See
The course dashboard is visible only to you (the course creator) and any co-instructors or admins who have access to the course. Students never see your revenue numbers, enrollment totals, or the activity feed. They see the course content, their own progress, and any discussions or assignments.
