View student details, payments, and progress

In this article: How to see who's enrolled in your course, check their progress through your lessons, review payment information, and export your student list.

All Plans

Once students start enrolling, you'll want to keep an eye on who's in your course, how far they've gotten, and whether their payments went through. The Students page in Manage Course gives you all of this in one place.

You don't need to check this constantly. But when a student emails saying they can't find their course, or you want to see how many people finished Module 3 before your live session, this is where you go.

Access your student list

  1. Open your course and go to Manage Course → Students.
  2. You'll see a list of everyone enrolled in the course, with their name, email, and enrollment date.

The list is sorted by most recent enrollment by default. If you have a lot of students, use the search bar at the top to find someone by name or email.

View an individual student's details

Click on any student's name to open their detail view. Here's what you'll find:

Contact information

  • Name and email address
  • Profile photo (if they've added one)

Enrollment details

  • When they enrolled
  • How they enrolled (which price point, invitation, or manual enrollment)

Payment information

  • What they paid and which price point they used
  • Payment status (paid, free, pending)
  • For payment plans and subscriptions: payment history and upcoming charges

Progress

  • Which lessons they've completed
  • Their overall progress percentage through the course
  • When they last accessed the course

This is useful when a student reaches out with a question. You can quickly see where they are in the course and what content they've already seen.

Tip: If a student says they've been locked out or can't access a lesson, check their progress view first. You can confirm exactly which lessons are available to them and whether a drip schedule is holding content back.

Track lesson completion and progress

The progress view for each student shows a breakdown by module and lesson. Completed lessons are marked, and you can see the student's overall completion percentage.

This helps you identify patterns across your course:

  • Where students stall. If several students stop at the same lesson, that content might need to be shorter, clearer, or restructured.
  • Who's keeping up. In a scheduled course with drip-released content, you can see which students are on pace and which have fallen behind.
  • Who's finished. Filter for students who've completed all lessons if you want to send a congratulatory message or offer a next step.

Review payment details

From a student's detail view, you can see what they paid, which price point they enrolled through, and the payment status.

For payment plans, you can see how many installments have been completed and how many remain.

For subscriptions, you can see the recurring amount, billing cycle, and current status.

Ruzuku shows you the payment information it has. For detailed transaction records, refund processing, and payout history, check your Stripe or PayPal dashboard directly. See Connect Stripe for Payments for more on managing payments in Stripe.

Tip: If you need to issue a refund, do that in your Stripe or PayPal dashboard. Refunding in your payment processor does not automatically remove the student from your course. If you also want to remove access, do that separately under Manage Course → Students. See Remove a Student from a Course.

Search and filter your student list

The search bar on the Students page lets you find a student by name or email. Type a few characters and the list narrows down as you type.

For courses with many students, this is the fastest way to locate someone. If a student emails you from a different address than the one they enrolled with, try searching by name instead.

Export student data

You can download your student list as a CSV file for use in a spreadsheet, email tool, or your own records.

  1. Go to Manage Course → Students.
  2. Click the Export or Download CSV button.
  3. The file downloads to your computer.

The CSV includes student names, email addresses, enrollment dates, payment information, and progress data. You can open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool.

This is helpful for:

  • Importing students into your email marketing tool
  • Creating completion reports for corporate training or certification programs
  • Tracking enrollment and revenue trends over time
  • Backing up your student data
Pro feature: On Ruzuku Pro, you can also download site-wide data across all courses from your Pro admin panel. The course-level CSV export described here is available on all plans.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I see which specific lessons a student has completed?
Yes. Click on a student's name under Manage Course → Students to open their detail view. The progress section shows a lesson-by-lesson breakdown of what they've completed and their overall completion percentage.
Can I email a student directly from the Students page?
You can see the student's email address on their detail page and use it to send them a message. For 1:1 communication within Ruzuku, use the Chat feature. For course-wide announcements, use Manage Course → Messages to schedule a message to all enrolled students. See Schedule Course-Wide Messages.
How do I remove a student from my course?
Go to Manage Course → Students, click on the student, and use the remove option. Removing a student takes away their access to the course. It does not automatically issue a refund — handle refunds separately in your Stripe or PayPal dashboard. See Remove a Student from a Course for full details.
Does the CSV export include progress data?
Yes. The CSV download includes enrollment information, payment details, and progress data for each student. You can use this for reporting, tracking completion rates, or importing into other tools.
