Use the Calendar feature to schedule meetings, messages, and modules for your course

The Calendar section can be accessed in the "Manage Course" menu under "Content" — Not sure where to find the "Manage Course" menu? Follow the first steps listed here.

Calendar

The calendar setting will take you to a calendar view of your course where you can view any existing scheduled course messages, meetings, and modules. 

You can also add a new message or meeting by hovering over a specific date (until you see a + sign appear)

And then click to select to add either a new message or meeting.

Note: If you have set your course type to be a Drip-Released Program (either a Calendar-Based Release Date or Individual Release Date course type), you will see an additional option to schedule a course module (which is a content section of your course):

Message

To add a message (this is going to be an email notification to all of your students), enter a subject line, a custom message, and then you can update the date and time the message will be sent by clicking on the date and time at the bottom.

If you click to update the date and time, a calendar will appear and you can update the date and time. Be sure to click on "Schedule Message" when you are done.

Note: Your message will be sent based on your time zone and will adjust based on your students' time zones (meaning that they will receive the email at the time you schedule your message to send but will arrive in their inbox at that time in their time zone). So be sure to check that your account is set to your correct time zone.

Note: Your message will automatically be scheduled as soon as you click on "Message" so if you do not want the message to send, be sure to click on the trash can icon to delete it:

You will then be prompted to confirm you want to delete the message by clicking the "Delete Message" button:

Meeting

To add a meeting (this is going to be a live webinar-style event for your students), enter a meeting title, schedule the correct date and time for your meeting, and the duration. 

You can choose to leave the default Ruzuku-hosted "Video Conference" option or you can select "Presentation" (Ruzuku-hosted where only you as the guide can share your audio and video with your attendees), "Zoom" (where you can integrate your Zoom account), or "External" (for any non-Ruzuku hosted conferencing platform you wish to use).

Be sure to click "Save" when you're all done!

Note: Your meeting will automatically be scheduled as soon as you click on "Meeting" so if you do not want the meeting to be scheduled, be sure to click on the trash can icon to delete it:

You will then be prompted to confirm you want to delete the message by clicking the "Delete Meeting" button:
