Manage courses on your Pro site

In this article: How to view all courses on your Pro site, copy courses between instructor accounts, and manage courses across your platform.

Applies to: Pro | Audience: Pro Site Admins

Why this matters

On a standard Ruzuku account, each Guide can only see their own courses. As a Pro site Admin, you need to see everything across the site. The Courses section in Manage Site gives you that bird's-eye view.

This is especially useful when you're running a multi-instructor platform. You can see which courses each Guide has created, copy courses between accounts to share templates, and make sure everything on your site is organized the way you want.

How to view all courses on your site

  1. Click your profile photo (or initials) in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Manage Site.
  3. Click Courses.

You'll see a list of every course on your Pro site, regardless of which Guide created it. Each entry shows the course name, the Guide who owns it, and the course status (published, draft, or archived).

Copy a course to another Guide's account

One of the most common admin tasks is copying a course from one Guide to another. You might do this when:

  • A new instructor is joining your team and needs to teach the same course
  • You've built a template course and want to distribute it to multiple Guides
  • An instructor is leaving and you need to move their course to a different account

Here's how:

  1. Go to Manage Site and click Courses.
  2. Find the course you want to copy.
  3. Click the Copy option next to the course.
  4. Select the Guide account you want to copy the course to.
  5. Confirm the copy.

The new copy includes all the course content (modules, lessons, text, and uploaded files). It does not copy over enrolled students, payment history, or discussion posts. The receiving Guide gets a fresh copy they can customize.

Tip: Create a "master template" course under your own Admin account. When a new instructor joins, copy that template to their account. This keeps your courses consistent across instructors.

Manage a course from the admin view

As an Admin, you can also access any course's Manage Course menu directly. This lets you edit content, change pricing, view enrolled students, or adjust settings on any course on your site.

To manage a specific course:

  1. Go to Manage Site and click Courses.
  2. Find the course you want to manage.
  3. Click on the course name to open it.
  4. Use the Manage Course menu (Cmd+K on Mac, Ctrl+K on Windows) to access content, pricing, students, and settings just as the Guide would.

This is useful when a Guide needs help with their course setup, or when you want to review a course before it goes live.

Note: Changes you make to a Guide's course are real and immediate. The Guide will see your edits the next time they open their course. If you're just reviewing, use the Mimic feature instead to view without making changes.

What Guides can and can't see

Important to keep in mind:

  • Guides only see their own courses. They can't browse other Guides' courses or access the site-wide Courses list.
  • Students only see courses they're enrolled in. They have no visibility into the broader course catalog unless you've set up a Storefront.
  • Admins see everything. Every course on the site, regardless of who created it.

If a Guide needs to access another Guide's course, you have two options: copy the course to their account, or temporarily change their role to Admin.

Frequently Asked Questions

When I copy a course, do the students come with it?
No. Copying a course creates a fresh duplicate with all the content (modules, lessons, files) but no student enrollments, payment data, or discussion posts. The new Guide starts with a clean slate.
Can I move a course from one Guide to another instead of copying it?
There isn't a direct "move" feature. The best approach is to copy the course to the new Guide's account and then archive (or delete) the original if it's no longer needed. If you need to preserve student enrollments during the transfer, contact support@ruzuku.com for help.
Is there a limit on how many courses I can have on my Pro site?
No. Your Pro plan includes unlimited courses across all Guides on your site.
Can a Guide delete their own course?
A Guide can delete a course they own only if it has no enrolled students. If the course has students, it can be archived but not deleted. As an Admin, you have the same constraint — courses with students can be archived, not deleted.
